If a provider enters the incorrect username or password for their Verizon account 3 times, they will be locked out and unable to prescribe electronically, or access their Verizon account. The lockout period is 30 minutes, meaning that the provider can wait for 30 minutes and then attempt to enter the password. Any subsequent, failed attempt to re-enter the password during the reset period will reset the 30 minute clock.
The provider can also reset the password if they do not want to wait. The provider will need to successfully answer the security questions, reset the password and then re-sign the Subscriber Agreement.
